Within the past five years my life has been forever altered as a result of health issues related to both heart and stroke. In 2022 my mom suffered multiple strokes and ultimately passed away from stage 4 pancreatic cancer (which caused the strokes). In 2021, I lost my big sister to cardiovascular disease. Heidi was just 52 years old and died suddenly. We learned that she had Lymphocytic Myocarditis. Lymphocytic Myocarditis is a rare cause of cardiovascular disease primarily manifest as sudden death, chest pain or heart failure.
I have participated in this walk for many years and now I walk for my mom and my sister. Let's walk together - not only for our own health, but also for the health of our parents, our siblings, our children, and our grandchildren.
The Heart Walk is a an event where people work together to support one single goal - to create a world free of heart disease and stroke.
REMEMBER: Heart disease is still the no. 1 killer in out nation and stroke ranks no. 2 worldwide. You could do something to change that.
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
