I've always known that taking care of my heart was important, but not until I was told that I had congestive heart failure did I realize I wasn't doing the right things to take care of my heart. After numerous tests and hospital visits, I am now on the road to recovery. I owe my continued recovery to the awesome doctors and nurses at Mercy Medical Group/Hospitals and Sutter Medical. It also helps to have a supportive family to help you recover too. I now try to work out 4-5 days a week and monitor the foods I eat and make healthier choices for everything I do.
I'm fund raising in memory of my mother Wilma Crain who died in 1994 of heart disease. She wasn't able to take advantage of all the life saving advancements that they have today, but I am and that's why I'm still here.
Please donate to help the American Heart Association continue research to find better ways to treat heart disease, provide education on prevention and maybe even find a cure.
