Why I Walk
I walk for Spencer, for the life he never got to live.
On April 10 2012, the sweetest, funniest, 9 year old, little boy left this earth to become an angel.
We found out much too late that he had a undiagnosed heart condition known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This left us completely devastated and asking many questions of "why" and "what ifs." Why did this happen to us? and what if we had only known? Could we have done something - anything to prevent his death. My hope is that no other parent will ever have to live in this pain.
I walk to raise awareness of this terrible childhood congenital heart condition.
I walk for Spencer.
