This year, I’ve signed up to be a coach for the American Heart Association’s Heart & Stroke Walk, and I’m inviting my friends, family, and colleagues to join me. I’m dedicating this walk to three incredibly important people I’ve lost far too soon. William Wistrich, Rudy Jr. Placido and Cyndi Riley Lockett, all three taken by heart conditions. This cause is deeply personal to me, and I would be honored to have your support as we walk in their memory and raise funds to help educate others, improve care, and prevent more families from experiencing these kinds of losses. Let’s walk with purpose and make a difference together.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
Help me reach my goal today by joining our team or donating towards our goal. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
With love,
Candace Wistrich
