I walk because I know that a healthy heart is important for us all!  :)
Unfortunately, I have had quite a few people in my life that have left us way too soon or have been incapacitated from multiple strokes, including my father, a work colleague, a graduate school professor's wife and an undergraduate classmate. 

I walk to raise awareness that heart disease can be drastically reduced with preventative healthy life choices (diet, exercise, mindfulness) and to be an example to my 11 year old daughter, Miss Amber Sky pictured above with me and my gorgeous girlfriend Brenda in front of the Rose Bowl in 2023.  

I want her to know that philanthropy, service, purpose and leadership are part of my core values and I want to be around for as much of her life as I can.  

Please join our virtual UCLA Health IT HAS HEART team this year as we are back at the Rose Bowl and/or donate!!!
