?This is my 11th year participating in the Heartwalk. Each year gets better. This year it is being held October 18th at the Las Vegas Ball Park! With your help each year I have been able to be one of the largest individual fundraisers! Heart health and stroke prevention are issues that I have become passionate about in the last several years.
Many of you know that several years ago my middle son, Parker, had a teammate suffer a sudden cardiac arrest in the middle of a soccer game. Because of several miracles his teammate survived. Today he is a college graduate. One of those miracles was the fact that CPR was performed almost immediately.
Also, 12 years ago I injured myself and ended up suffering a TIA (or mini-stroke). I am happy to say that I have completely recovered but the experience is one of the reasons I am involved with the American Heart Association and specifically the Heartwalk.
So I am asking for you to donate to my walk. I will be matching donations this year up to a total of $3,500. To those who contributed last year "Thank You" and I hope that you will consider doing so again. To those who are seeing this for the first time, please donate because it does make a huge difference. Also, come join us on November 2nd at Tivoli Village for the actual Heartwalk! I have seen the progress made in the past few years and am excited to be a part of it!
