My son Jude was born on February 10, 2022 (during Congenital Heart Defects Awareness week). He underwent surgery at 10 weeks old to repair a severe coarctation of his aorta. Jude was born with Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) known as Shone’s Complex. CHDs occur in almost 1% of births and of those diagnosed with CHDs, less than 1% have Shone’s Complex.
