"Team Moe" Walks in Honor of Moe Riyami
Our Cisco team, "Team Moe", walks in honor of Moe Riyami, Learning & Development Leader (Learn with Cisco). At just 40 years old, Moe has already survived two extreme heart attacks, a powerful reminder that heart disease can affect anyone. His resilience and courage inspire us to walk not only for him, but for every life touched by heart disease.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S., but it doesn?t impact all communities equally. Black men face a higher risk: nearly 50% will develop some form of cardiovascular disease in their lifetime, and they are 30% more likely to die from heart disease than their peers. Factors like access to care, early diagnosis, and preventive support play a huge role.
Stories like Moe's highlight the importance of awareness, prevention, and advocacy for equal healthcare opportunities. No matter your age, background, or lifestyle; knowing the signs, prioritizing check-ups, and backing research can save lives. When you walk with us you are supporting a future where everyone has the chance to live a longer, healthier life. Let's walk with purpose, in honor of Moe, and encourage heart health for all. We welcome you to join Team Moe and/or donate to our team.
