I walk for Donovan Walsh, my partner, who passed away on August 30th, 2020, at 36-years old, after suffering a widow maker cardiac event while we, Alex, Donovan, Heidi, Otto, Sierra and Sam, were biking Resurrection Pass out of Hope, Alaska. As a way to continue honoring Donovan's life and passing, my friends and I who were with Donovan when he passed away participate in the Alaska Heart Run and Walk to fundraise money to fund awareness efforts and groundbreaking research into heart disease and stroke. We walk for our family members, friends and loved ones who have been impacted by heart disease or stroke.

This will be our fourth year participating in the Alaska Heart Run & Walk in honor of Donovan. We continue to exceed our fundraising goals thanks you all, in combination with many of your employer's generous donation matching programs.
