This walk is deeply personal for me. My husband, Michael, passed away suddenly from a widowmaker heart attack in April 2025, just 13 days after his 35th birthday, while on the golf trip of a lifetime in Bandon, Oregon. He was my partner, my best friend, and the father of our two little girls. Losing him so unexpectedly has been the greatest heartbreak of my life.
Michael was a person who made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. He believed in community, connection, and living life with laughter and generosity. I feel his absence every day—in the quiet moments, in the milestones he should have been here for, and in the future we had planned together.
By fundraising and walking in his memory, I’m not only honoring Michael’s life and legacy, but also fighting for a world where fewer families have to endure this kind of loss. Every step I take is for him, and every donation helps carry forward his spirit of love and giving. Thank you for supporting me, our family, and most of all, Michael.
