Everyone has a why- the reason they show up, give, and fight for something bigger than themselves. For me, my why is deeply personal.
Heart disease remains the number one killer of women, and that?s something I can?t accept. Too many moms, sisters, daughters, and friends are taken too soon. I want to be part of changing that story- part of the reason why someone?s mom or sister is still here today.
I walk for my mom, Jan, who inspires my work every single day. Her strength and resilience remind me why this mission matters.
I walk for my sister, Alex, who saves lives every day and reminds me what it means to fight for others.
And I walk for my niece, Ana, so that she can grow up in a world that?s healthier, safer, and filled with possibility.
Every step I take, every dollar raised, and every conversation started brings us closer to that world- a world where more women survive, more families stay whole, and more hearts keep beating.
This is my why. What?s yours?
