I walk because I'm a survivor and CFH warrior.
Fall 2023 I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure it's a long-term condition that happens when your heart can't pump blood well enough to give your body a normal supply. I had an ejection fraction at just 10% that means I was in Critical Condition. A heart working at 10% is considered to be at a very high risk for life-threatening complications, including sudden cardiac arrest. I was told that I may need open heart surgery or even a heart transplant at that moment, but we are going to try medication first, by the grace of Jesus and my amazing team of doctors it started working. My life was forever changed that week, I will be on medication for the rest of my life, have watch my sodium in-take, weight myself every morning. Living with the CHF can be overwhelming at times however I got this and I will always fight because I got a lot of life ahead of me.
