Back in October, the 21st to be exact I had to have open heart surgery to repair my ascending aortic aneurysm. It was not on my bucket list at 72 years old but the VA through the TITAN study trial and a great team at the San Francisco Veterans Hospital I have been given a new lease on life. I hope I can encourage others to donate to the American Heart Association so they can continue research in this crucial need.
