We walk in honor and memory of our son, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Brent Sieckman. Brent had a bypass after his silent heart attack at 32 and died at 47. We walk to help the American Heart Association help people with heart issues, teach people life-saving CPR, and help people learn the symptoms of a heart attack and what to do. 

 

9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.

 

Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
