Our team has proudly participated in the Phoenix Heart Walk since 2016. What began as a way to support an important cause quickly became deeply personal to not just us but our family and friends.

We walk in honor of our son, Steven, who was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. From the very beginning of his life, Steven showed incredible strength, courage, and resilience as he faced challenges no child ever should. Through every step of his journey, he taught us what true bravery looks like.

In 2023, we lost Steven to his heart condition. Our hearts will forever carry the weight of that loss—but also the immeasurable love and inspiration he gave us. Walking each year is our way of honoring his life, keeping his spirit present, and supporting continued research, awareness, and hope for other families facing congenital heart disease.

Every step we take is for Steven—and for all the children and families still fighting.
