Thank you for your consideration and supporting our Walk in honor of Michael Godish. On September 18, 2024 my sweet husband went home to heaven. He suffered a Widowmaker heart Attack in our home that morning. One of the great blessings of that day is that he passed instantly and without any suffering. One minute here and the next heaven bound. The part of the story that has become my mission is that we had no idea there was anything wrong. Micheal had a complete physical 6 weeks before his passing. He was Not on any medication's. He'd never had high blood pressure or any kind of heart issues whatsoever. He had above average muscle mass for his age group, and he was at ideal weight. His doctor commented on if every patient was as healthy as he was, he would be out of business. What we didn't know is that Micheal had a hereditary link to coronary arteries disease. Because he'd never had any symptoms he was never tested. I have lots to Say on what test people should have after their 50. More on that in a separate post. The American Heart Association has just recently updated their recommendations on testing and prevention protocols for heart health. They are making great strides in recommending testing for the Identification, prevention, and management of heart disease. Heart disease is the number one killer of men and women in the United States. The all cause mortality rate for heart disease outpaces all other diseases combined. That means that of the things that we are all likely to die of this is first on the list. So our ask would be that you donate either to our team or another one to continue the research and the push for better testing, Better care, And better outcomes for those of us this side of heaven. Michael may not be here in the flesh, but a piece of his heart walks around inside of each and everyone has children, grandchildren, his wife and the people that love him. Help us honor him and all the people who were so loved that left too soon.
If you would be interested in walking with our team private message, me and I can give you the details. Thank you all and God bless you.\u2764\ufe0f
