2026 Inland Empire Heart & Stroke Walk
Huffin' and Puffin' for a Purpose
Huffin' and Puffin' for a Purpose
Each year, we come together to walk in honor of the lives impacted by heart disease; the survivors, the fighters, and the families and friends who stand beside them.
We walk as friends.
We walk as family.
We walk those past the finish line that have suffered from heart attacks/strokes.
In my three years leading teams in the heart walk, two people very close to my heart have suffered from heart disease. Watching that journey changes you. It reminds you that statistics have names. That recovery takes grit. That healing takes faith, support, skilled care, and community.
We walk to advocate for prevention, education, and early intervention.
We walk because heart disease and stroke do not discriminate.
We walk because awareness saves lives.
We walk because our patients and family members deserve more tomorrows.
And we walk in honor of two people who mean the world to us - Joe Mama and Mama Rose
We push past the finish line because recovery doesn't stop at discharge. It continues in physical therapy rooms, in follow-up appointments, in daily medications, in lifestyle changes, in prayer, in encouragement, and in the quiet determination of survivors who refuse to give up. We cheer louder. We step stronger. We finish together.
For every survivor still rebuilding.
For every family who has held their breath in fear.
For every life that has been forever changed.
We are Puffin' for a Purpose.
And we are walking with heart
