Legends for Life is a program that seeks to empower youth athletes, teams, students and communities to become immediate responders in life-threatening emergencies that can happen at any moment. There has been a rise in cardiac events seen in sports, including cases like Savy King’s, and more than 300,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests that occur each year. Our 2011 team, Legends FC OC, plans to make hands only CPR training and sports first aid education accessible to every player. Through interactive presentations, player-led sidewalk CPR, and injury prevention awareness, we want to build a community where everyone has the knowledge and readiness to save a life at any time.
