Research funded by the American Heart Association has directly benefited me and members of my family. From improvements in open heart surgery to medications that lower blood pressure and cholesterol , the scientific discoveries have made a difference. I am a heart survivor, in fact you can say my life is due to the research that brought about the ability to do open heart surgery in children. I had my grandmother for more than 25 additional years due to open heart surgery and statins Many other members of my family have benefited as well.
Everyone can make a difference by knowing CPR. Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today.
