In March 2020 I experienced a stroke symptom that affected my right arm (loss of control). Thankfully it was a TIA (small stroke) but I'm grateful for the professionalism of the UCI Medical Center (Orange) doctors and nurses. Through their thorough examination and testing protocols they determined, not only what had occurred, but that the location of a stenosis (blockage) in my Left Internal Carotid Artery was a likely cause. After a year of medication and observation I had a stent implant in the Left ICA (2021) and have not experienced any symptoms since then.
The time for action became evident to me after my stroke as I also have some cardiac related issues. Every dollar donated, means more people can become aware of/trained in CPR and how to recognize the signs of cardiac and neurological crises; medical research into heart and stroke prevention and treatment can continue unabated.
