2026 Dallas Heart Walk
Kardio Krando
My journey began as a freshman in college, chasing a dream to play football. That dream changed when I was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy a condition that forced me to step away from sports but opened the door to meeting a doctor with a kind heart. He recommended a subcutaneous ICD, a device that would later save my life.
Over ten years after that diagnosis, while walking my dogs around the park near my home, I passed out and my ICD went off, restarting my heart. That moment reminded me how fragile and precious life is. Soon after, I learned I needed open-heart surgery a septal myectomy to repair my heart and give it a new rhythm.
A year later, I’m walking stronger than ever, using my heart the way it was meant to be used walking with purpose.
As I woke up from surgery, my wife shared the most beautiful news: we were expecting twins. Now, every step I take carries even more meaning for my family, for my health, and for everyone walking beside me.
Please join me on this journey. Your love and support remind me that every heartbeat, every mile, and every moment matters.
