Heart disease and stroke are not just statistics to me, they are deeply personal.
I walk in honor of my mother, who in 2018 faced heart disease, bypass surgery, 2 strokes, and an aneurysm. Watching someone you love navigate those challenges changes you. I also walk in memory of my husband's Aunt Gail, who lost her battle with heart disease in 2017.
These experiences inspired me to become an advocate for heart health awareness and prevention through my Heart & Soul platform. My mission is to help individuals and families understand their risk factors, make informed health choices, and recognize that small steps today can lead to longer, healthier tomorrows.
Every step I take during the Heart Walk represents hope for the families currently facing heart disease and stroke, for those we have lost, and for future generations who will benefit from life-saving research, education, and prevention efforts.
When you support my Heart Walk campaign, you are helping fund groundbreaking research, community education, and programs that save lives every day.
Together, we can create more second chances, more milestones, and more healthy hearts.
Thank you for helping me make a difference.
