This year, I'm participating in the Heart Walk for a cause that is very close to my heart.
My Aunt Jonell passed away in October 2023 after losing her battle with heart disease. She was someone I loved dearly, and her loss has made the impact of heart disease incredibly personal for me.
My dad, Richard, also lives with heart disease. Having someone I love so much continue to face this disease is a constant reminder of just how important heart health, awareness, research, and prevention are.
That's why I'm walking. â¤ï¸
I'm walking in memory of my Aunt Jonell and in honor of my dad, Richard. I'm also walking for all the families who have lost someone to heart disease and for those who continue to fight every day.
The Heart Walk gives me a way to turn something deeply personal into something positive-to raise awareness, encourage people to take their heart health seriously, and help support the fight against heart disease.
Every step I take will be for them.
