Every heartbeat has a story. 

Azan’s story began with a heart that was born different. He was diagnosed with congenital heart disease (CHD), a lifelong condition affecting nearly 1 in every 100 babies born.

For 226 days, Azan showed us what strength, courage, and love look like. He faced open-heart surgery, time in the cardiac ICU, and challenges no baby should ever have to endure. Through it all, his little heart kept fighting.

On 7/4/25, Azan’s heart took its final beat, but his story did not end. His life was far too short, yet the love he gave us and the mark he left behind will last forever.

I’m walking in Azan’s honor to raise awareness for congenital heart disease, support CHD research, and help create more hope for babies born with heart conditions and the families who love them.
