Our mom, Gloria suffered a stroke September 2, 1993 at the age of 64.
Our daughter, Brittney suffered a stroke November 23, 2025 at the age of 34.
The difference in medicine and medical treatment concerning a stroke patient in 1993 vs 2025 is dramatic. A person having a stroke in 1993 would likely have received supportive care with relatively limited treatment options. By 2025, stroke care has become much faster, more specialized, and far more effective, with many patients experiencing significantly better outcomes if treated quickly.
