In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
In June 2025, I suffered a stroke at 43 years old. What we eventually discovered was that I had a PFO, a small opening in my heart that I had been living with without knowing it. Having that PFO closed was a major part of my recovery, but the experience changed much more than my health, it changed the way I look at life.
Since then, I’ve been rebuilding my strength, my confidence, and my life one day at a time. I’ve pushed myself to do things I wasn’t sure I’d ever be able to do again, including training and competing in CrossFit.
I’m participating in the American Heart Association Heart Walk with my coworkers because heart and stroke health is no longer just something I read about, it’s something that changed my life and my family’s life.
I’m walking to support the American Heart Association, raise awareness, and hopefully remind someone else that taking care of your heart can change everything.
I’m grateful to be here. Grateful to be moving forward. And I’m not done yet.
Extraordinary starts with YOU. Help me reach my goal today!
