Heart health is personal to me. After my symptoms were initially dismissed as anxiety, I was eventually diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AFib) and heart disease. This taught me heart disease doesn’t discriminate—it can affect anyone, regardless of age or fitness level.
I’m participating in the Heart Walk to help raise awareness and support the lifesaving research and medical advancements led by the American Heart Association. More women die from heart disease than any other cause, and together we can help change that.
Please consider joining the Bering Strait Tide Runners or making a donation. And remember: you know your body best. If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and advocate for yourself. It could save your life.
