Your life can change in a heartbeatâ¤

Between February 2026-May 2026 I went from mild/moderate aortic stenosis to severe aortic stenosis. I was told it is heredity and just in my DNA.  This is why heart desease is called the Silent Killer and more women die annually from heart disease than cancer.  I had no symptoms other than a murmur being watch by my cardiologist on an annual basis. Due to a minor change in my echocardiogram, my cardiologist wanted to be proactive, which I was very happy about. This is when the severe stenosis was discovered.  I was given two options; Open Heart surgery and TVAR - valve replacement through the groin. Open Heart surgery gave me more life and longevity by replacing my deterated valve with a brand new cow valve and I can have two TVARs later after 10-15 years, with each TVAR offering an additional 8-10 years per new valve.  Your support brings awareness and education about heart disease to more people.
