Walking for My Mom, Our Grammy in Heaven

Welcome to my American Heart Association Walk page. I am walking to honor my beautiful mom-a loving mother, sister, friend, and the most wonderful "Grammy."

In 2020, we unexpectedly lost her to pulmonary hypertension and right-sided heart failure. She was a non-smoker and only 58 years old. The most heartbreaking part of her sudden diagnosis was that no mainstream treatments existed to save her; the only medicine we could try was part of a clinical trial. Tragically, she passed away before my daughter was born, leaving a void in our lives that we carry with us every day.

I am walking because funding research is the only way to change this. The money we raise directly funds the breakthroughs and new medicines that can help other families avoid this devastating tragedy.
