Hi! My name is Ava, and I’m walking in the Puget Sound Heart Walk because congenital heart disease has been a big part of my life.

I was born with a heart defect and had open-heart surgery when I was 11 years old. Thanks to my amazing doctors, nurses, and surgeons at Seattle Children’s Hospital, I’m healthy today and able to do the things I love. I know not every child with a heart condition has the same journey, which is why this cause means so much to me.

By participating in the Heart Walk, my team hopes to raise money for research, education, and programs that help children and families facing heart disease. Every donation helps bring hope, supports lifesaving care, and moves us closer to a future where every child has the chance to live a healthy life.
