In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. Most of the time, it’s because no one nearby performed CPR. But together, we can change that.
This cause is deeply personal to me.
My mom has survived three heart attacks. One of the most terrifying moments of my life was witnessing her go into cardiac arrest. While we waited for the ambulance, our neighbors, who happened to be her L&D coworkers—people I truly consider her guardian angels—stepped in and performed CPR. I firmly believe that without their quick actions, my mom would not be here today.
Today, she is living with a pacemaker, healthy, thriving, and continuing to enjoy life with her family. Every day with her is a gift.
Heart health has impacted my family in more ways than one. My dad also suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed on his left side. These experiences have shown me just how important heart and brain health, CPR education, research, and early intervention truly are.
Extraordinary things happen when people take action. A small step. A simple skill. A lifesaving moment. Heart Walk brings communities together to create health and hope for every heartbeat. Every walker who joins and every dollar donated helps fund lifesaving research, CPR training, and support for families like mine.
Please consider supporting my Heart Walk fundraiser and helping me reach my goal. You never know when the knowledge, research, or resources funded today could save someone you love tomorrow.
