In a heartbeat, everything can change.
I’m participating in the Heart Walk this year in memory of my dad, who passed away at 69 from a sudden heart attack at home. Because of my family history, health has always been a priority for me—I eat well and stay active, but I still fight genetic high cholesterol.
A few months ago, I had a scare with some arm and shoulder pain that sent me to the ER. Thankfully, the doctors gave my heart a clean bill of health. But that moment was a huge eye-opener. It made me so grateful for modern medicine, early testing, and the incredible doctors who save lives every day.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive, often because no one knew CPR. I walk to honor my dad, but I also walk so more people can get the research, tools, and lifesaving care they need when every second counts.
Help me reach my goal today! Every dollar makes a difference.
