Help me be a Heart Walk Hero!
I am creating a team of walkers who are taking life-saving into their own hands. It’s ordinary folks like me and you who can have an extraordinary impact— funding the research that helps our neighbors and loved ones survive heart attacks, strokes, and congenital heart disease every day. Without me and you, research goes unfunded and more lives are lost. It’s that simple.
Personally, my mother suffered from a stroke a few years ago which was very scary for her, my father, my family and me. I am very thankful for the health professionals that took care of her following this scary event. However, I am even more thanful for all the research that supports a healthy lifestyle to decrease the risk of this happening to you. I made commitment to myself that I would eat healthier, exercise, and change my lifestyle to support my heart. In the last 2 years, I lost 40 pounds as a result of this commitment.
KPMG is again participating in the San Francisco Heart Walk on Friday, September 13th at 11:30am by walking and raising critical funds for heart disease and stroke research and education. Will you join our Bay Area FUNds team walking and helping to raise $10,000 toward our company goal of $150,000?
