This will be my 21st year since my stroke! I lost my right arm/hand and have learned to be left handed the 2nd part of my life. I feel like I have recovered pretty darn good from where I was in 1999! But, this year has given me new challenges! In November, I was excited and blessed to have my daughter give birth to my adorable granddaughter!! Boy, do I miss my right arm!!! I cannot lift her. My family does not want me to stand with her let alone walk with her for fear that I accidentally fall holding her. ME TOO!! I aways have to have someone with me when I babysit her. My stroke has robbed me from being the grandma that I want to be.
All I can say is it is an excellent reason to donate to the American Heart & Stroke Walk again this year! I would love to see that no one has to loose any part of their body or their life due to a stroke!! All their research can help with that.
Please join me by walking or virtual walking with me in the 2020 Heart & Stroke Walk on Sunday, May 3rd at 1:00 pm!!
You can donate using this link: https://www2.heart.org/site/TR/HeartWalk/WSA-WesternStatesAffiliate?px=13733681&pg=personal&fr_id=4873 or if you would rather donate by check you can write it to the American Heart & Stroke Assoc, and send it to me at 2317 NW 146th St, Vancouver, WA 98684.
THANK YOU!!!! Joanie
