I walk because I know that with every step, I'm making a difference in someone's life. And when combined with millions of other Heart Walk Heroes across the nation, we have an even greater impact toward curing heart disease and stroke.
This year I am walking with Team Rolling Thunder representing the Operations Department of Metrolink. We will walk around the historic Rose Bowl in my hometown of Pasadena, California once again remembering Illysa DeCasperas, who we lost in September 2024 as a result of cardiac heart disease. She was an advocate for the American Heart Association and encouraged Metrolink to participate in the annual Heart Walk each year. We truly miss her spirit and sense of humor.
I am proud to walk in Illysa's memory and to raise much needed funds for this worthy organization.
