In October, I will celebrate 16 years with the American Heart Association.
If you are wondering why I have committed 16 years (my entire career!) to one organization, the answer is simple.
For more than 100 years, the AHA has remained a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. We are at the forefront of lifesaving scientific discovery, working to eliminate heart disease and stroke, optimizing brain health, ensuring access to care, and advocating for healthy public policies in communities across the country.
100 years ago, heart disease was considered a death sentence. Today it is not. To me, this is proof that we are making a difference, one day at a time. And it is no time to stop now.
It is honor to serve as Executive Director for the Bay Area division, and I hope you will support me in my goal to raise $5,000 for the AHA.
Thank you and be well!
