I am proud to be a volunteer for, and donor to the American Heart Association. I plan and raise funds for the “Go Red for Women” campaign and important community initiatives that save lives. My personal motivation is to honor my younger sister Suzy (pictured) who suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke in February 2016. She was alone when she went down in her home and was airlifted to a hospital where she passed away 6 days later, leaving behind her 26 year old son and husband of 34 years. My sister Joan and I were with her as she took her last breath at 2:42 am- a moment I will remember for the rest of my life.
They say that giving is healing and I have found that to be true. Please join me in making a donation to this site and know that your gift will help in the fight to stop heart disease and stroke for women and others.
I do this for Suzy.
