Hello,
Many of you may know that in 2020 my cousin (who is more like a brother) suffered from congestive heart failure. It shook our family's world. Though my cousin was one of the lucky individuals to receive a heart transplant I will never forget the news from his doctor that the best gift our family could give him was learning CPR.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. The readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
Though we were fortunate that this was not our reality, I've since become an organ donor and taken steps to become CPR certified! I want to contribute in some small way to ensuring that others have access to similar life-saving measures as my cousin was afforded.
Your support in this effort to raise funds is greatly appreciated! Please consider donating any amount to support me in my goal of raising $500 to help save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today!
