Eight years ago I joined the Executive Leadership Team for this amazing event, held annually in San Francisco. I also serve as one of KPMG’s Executive Champions co-leading the firm’s annual Heart Walk campaign. The Heart Walk is a truly uplifting experience and is a great way for the community to band together to support the American Heart Association.

The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association's premier event for raising funds to save lives from this country's No. 1 and No. 5 killers - heart disease and stroke. Through your financial support of the Heart Walk, you're not only helping people in our local communities, but you're also helping the American Heart Association improve patient care, fund lifesaving research, and educate adults and children at risk for developing cardiovascular diseases. I for one believe that the work of the American Heart Association is critical, if my kids are to grow up and be acutely aware of the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.
