My unfortunate story all begins back on 3/12/22 and to be honest I'm still waiting for the day I finally wake up from this horrific nightmare called a stroke.
Everyday I'm persented with new challenges that, in my previous life, would've just been second nature; like getting dressed, a ponytail, opening/walking through a door, cooking, cleaning, hell even rolling over in bed is now damn near impossible. However I've come to terms with the fact this is now the new life I've been dealt, this is my new normal, and I can do nothing more than live this life to the fullest and continuously be grateful for tomorrow. At this point, more than anything, I'm just thankful to be alive.
My goal is to able to walk, and walk unassisted, all while completing the entire walk. I'm hoping I can eventually share my story to help motivate, heal and bring hope to those that have suffered a stroke as well. I know I've had and continue to have my off days. I want to be there for those in need when having a bad day and feel like their life is over because that's the farthest thing it's from is over. You can and will survive this!
I thank you in advance for any support through all of this!
