Over the last 9 years, I have been on a healthy lifestyle journey to lose weight and increase my overall well being and heart health. This has been challenging at times and I've learned a few lessons along the way. Most importantly, I've learned to NEVER GIVE UP!!! I have learned that I can make small choices everyday that promote my goals and better my life. Some of these choices include how much water I drink in a day...no less than 80 oz daily, smaller food portions and I have increased my movement. Just these small daily changes have made a huge impact on my life. I still have more to go , but I am well on my way to a healthier self and lifestyle. Being part of the Heart Walk year after year, helps me stay focused on my personal goals , while supporting an organization that promotes my same vision.
