Hello Everyone,
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Ann Tompkins, I work at UC Davis Health and have worked closely with our Pediatric Heart Team over the years. I am extremely passionate about this patient population and have had the honor of working with many of our own UCDH cardiac patients and their families.
I have been a heart walk advocate for a number of years and my "WHY" for advocacy has recently expanded this past year. Joey, a dear friend of over 30 years to my husband and I suffered a massive cardiac event on the river requiring life saving measures. If it wasn't for the AED and community members who were CPR trained, I am confident Joey wouldn't be here today.
Joey and I are have made a life-changing commitment. We are looking to raise money for awareness "Beyond CPR" to ensure that others that require live saving measures have the resources available to them wherever they may be.
Participating in the heart walk or making a donation can fund the research that helps our neighbors and loved ones survive heart attacks, strokes, and congenital heart disease every day.
