Join me in supporting the American Heart Association as I lace up my running shoes for the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon. I am running in honor of my father, Paul. This year marks three years since my family lost my dad. He was our rock, a pillar of strength and love.
My dad continued to fight back with courage, resilience, and his signature sense of humor. Even before he battled heart disease himself, he was a loyal supporter of the American Heart Association in honor of my grandmother, Mary. We had lost my grandmother unexpectedly to a heart attack over 20 years ago. It is a family tradition to support the American Heart Association, rooted in personal experiences and a deep appreciation for the organization's commitment to better lives. For nearly 100 years, it has been the mission of the American Heart Association with its global family of volunteers, donors and advocates, to transform the way the world understands, treats and prevents heart disease and stroke.
By fundraising for the American Heart Association, we're not just running a race; we're running towards a future free from heart disease and stroke. Every dollar raised brings us closer to lifesaving research, standing for the rights of patients and caregivers, to empower healthier communities and transcend the way we live. Together, we can make strides towards healthier hearts and brighter tomorrows for our loved ones - until heart disease and stroke are stories of our past.
Thank you for supporting the American Heart Association. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
