Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and supporting the American Heart Association. Your contribution means the world to me!
This year, I’m running the NYC Marathon in honor of my parents and to raise funds for the AHA’s life-saving work.
In April 2024, my father suffered a devastating stroke caused by underlying cardiac issues. Though he faced a long and difficult recovery, our family came together to care for him. We are deeply grateful for the extra time we had with him before he passed away this January.
My family has a strong connection to both the AHA and the NYC Marathon. My Mom has run the marathon four times—each with one of my siblings by her side. My Dad, her biggest cheerleader, would dash between cheering spots in neon gear, supporting her every step of the way. His spirit, energy, and love were the heart of our marathon days.
When my father became unable to walk, my Mom's years of endurance training took on new meaning. Her strength as a caregiver during those ten months was nothing short of heroic. She gave my Dad the gift of more time with his children and grandchildren—time we will always treasure.
Through my sister and brother-in-law’s work with the AHA, I’ve come to understand the powerful impact of their research, education, and advocacy. Their programs save lives every day—and I want to do my part to help.
Running this marathon with the Heart & Stroke Team is my way of honoring my parents' love, resilience, and legacy. Every step I take is for them—and every dollar you give helps the AHA continue its vital work.
Thank you so much for your support!
