Hi, thanks for coming to hear about my brother's story and how I'm continuing his legacy.
In January, my youngest brother, Graham Walling, passed away suddenly from an undiagnosed heart condition. He was only 36 years old.
Graham was my best man at my wedding, my best friend, a dedicated son & brother, and an incredible uncle to his five nieces and nephews. His passing is the greatest tragedy our family has ever endured.
Graham was not only a dedicated family man, but a champion of supporting causes and raising awareness for key issues. Before his passing, he served as the Content Manager for Committee for Children (a non-profit organization based in Seattle). To continue his legacy of raising awareness and caring for others, I'm running a series of races this year, culminating with the New York City Marathon on November 2nd.
Supporting the American Heart Association was the obvious choice for me in my quest to tell everyone I can about the amazing person my brother was. Please consider contributing to my fundraising effort to support the lifesaving work of the AHA and to continue Graham's legacy with me.
You can follow my story, training and races all year long at @Run4Graham on Instagram. I'll be competing in the following events throughout the year.
- Asheville Marathon, March 15th: Complete — 03:27:28
- Dirty German 50k, May 10th (Philadelphia, PA)
- Boulder Field 100k, September 13th (Jim Thorpe, PA)
- New York City Marathon, November 2nd
