I’m running the 2026 New York City Marathon with Team Heart & Stroke for a cause that’s close to me.
Heart disease and stroke run in my family so it’s something I’ve always been aware of but last year it became painfully real. In June, my company’s CCO, Chris Regester, passed away after a sudden heart attack. He was only 43, fit, and healthy, which was a tough reminder that this can happen to anyone.
Running the marathon felt like a meaningful way to do something positive and support the work being done to prevent and treat heart disease and stroke.
Every dollar raised helps the American Heart Association continue to improve patient care, fund research, support under-resourced communities, and raise awareness about risk factors.
Thank you for the support,
Love Litzell
