This year I am running in my second and third marathons, after Berlin in 2024, and Chicago in October I will then run in New York City on November 1.
What will make New York City extra special is that it also is a run for a cause-- the American Heart Association. In addition to all of the great work they do along with so many other charities bing supported by the Marthon, I am proud to run to support them for personal reasons. First, as an employee of Cornell University including Weill Cornell Medicine, our doctors, nurses, employees, faciulty and volunteers are doing so much for pateints and research. We are leaders in cardiac care and research and I am proud to supporti the efforts of my colleagues in this importnat work.
There probably is not a single individual in America who has not had a family member or friend personally impacted by heart disease. My partner Dante is receving care for aortic aneurysm at Weill Cornell, so helping to support the AHA iand the work they do s personally important.
Thank you so much for any support you can provide!
With gratittude, Chris
