I am proud to be running the 2026 NYC Marathon as part of the American Heart Association team, with a goal of raising $6,000 to support their life-saving work.
Athletics have always been a big part of my life. I grew up playing volleyball, swimming, basketball, and lacrosse, and continued my lacrosse career at the collegiate level while balancing the demands of nursing school. Running was always part of my training, but after college, it became something more—it became a passion.
Since then, I’ve completed multiple 5Ks and recently finished my second half marathon this past December, with another scheduled for April. Running a full marathon has always been a personal goal of mine, and I’m incredibly grateful to pursue it while supporting a cause that means so much to me.
Today, I am an ICU nurse at St. Francis Hospital and Heart Center, where I care for patients impacted by heart disease and stroke every day. I see firsthand how critical research, education, and support from organizations like the American Heart Association truly are. This race is more than just a finish line for me, it’s a way to give back to my patients and contribute to advancing heart health for so many others.
Thank you for your support, no amount is too small, and every donation truly makes a difference.
