Hi, thanks for being here! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Christina Brownell. I currently work as a Physician Assistant in a Cardiac ICU- which is only one of the reasons I chose to be a part of the American Heart Association team for the 2024 NYC Marathon.
In 2019 I suddenly and unexpectedly lost my mother, Sharon, to a stroke. In her death I am proud to say that she was able to become an organ donor and help three other people get a second chance at life. Now it's my turn to help others. Raising money for the American Heart Association will help to increase research, support under-resourced communities and raise awareness about the risk factors of heart disease and stroke. Running a marathon has forever been a goal of mine and now being able to do so in memory of my mom is an even greater personal triumph. Join me on this emotional journey to 26.2!
Thank you for supporting the American Heart Association, me and my story. Your contribution means more than you know.
In loving memory of Sharon L. Stivers 1957-2019
