I'm so excited to run my first marathon with the American Heart Association team!

This organization means so much to me & my family. When I was a junior in high school, my mom suffered an unexpected stroke & died five months later. She was just 49 years old. My mom was a true force of good in this world -- gifting my family unbelievable experiences, creating the most magical memories, & showing me what it looks like to be a true leader of others.

My family & I have championed the AHA's mission since her passing, hosting fundraisers & participating in the Heart Walk in both the KC & DFW areas. I even interned with the AHA's Fort Worth branch during college.
